On April 5, Mr. PXL (55 years old, a worker at Ha Long Urban Environment Joint Stock Company, Quang Ninh province), one of four workers asphyxiated by toxic gas, hydrogen sulfide, died at the General Hospital. Quang Ninh Province Previously, on the afternoon of April 4, the group of workers from Ha Long Urban Environment Joint Stock Company included 4 people, Mr. PXL (55 years old), TTH (44 years old), D.HG (39 years old) and V.Đ. N. (40 years old), received the task of constructing and treating the area of the wastewater collection pit pumping station at Ha Long Flower Park, Bach Dang ward, Ha Long city. Authorities coordinated to bring the victim to the emergency room. When a worker (unknown information) received the task to check, he fainted due to poisoning. Seeing that a colleague fainted, the remaining 3 workers went down to the rescue and were all stunned and fainted. About 15 minutes later, all 4 workers were rescued by the rescue force of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department from the sewage pit and transferred directly to Quang Ninh Provincial General Hospital for emergency treatment. In 4 victims, Mr. PXL had a circulatory arrest for 20 minutes, was in a Glasgow coma with 3 points, the pupils on both sides were 5mm dilated, the skin was pale, and the whole body was cold. At dawn on April 5, the victim continued to have circulatory failure and did not survive due to toxic gas. Rescuers bring the victim out of the gas hole Authorities determined that the victims suffered from hydrogen sulfide (H2S) poisoning. Currently, the remaining 3 workers are in a state of lethargy, shortness of breath, chest pain, foaming at the mouth, involuntary defecation…, Mr. TTH is still in a coma due to a history of bronchial asthma.
